On June 13th and 14th, the Northern Lights H.O.G. chapter held their 5th annual "Good Times in the Pines." Friday the 13th riders from all over the Midwest registered for the ride that took place the next day. The rest of the evening they rocked to the blues of "Little Cysco." At the end of the night the raffles were held. Saturday rolls around and the bikes roll out, onto the 177 mile poker run, through the beautiful Northwood's. After a long ride the riders needed something to drink, so they bought a beverage courtesy of the St. Germain lions club, who also denoted the food. |
The
rest of the night the riders did various things, including bike games,
northwoods games, look at a bike show, watch the burnout contest, or judge
the loud pipe contest. They even rocked to the music of "Mantazh." Even
though I am too young to see it, I heard the wet t-shirt contest topped
off an exciting weekend. The event raised more than $2,000 for "Angel on
my Shoulder," a non-profit organization that supports those affected in
any way by cancer. Next years event will hopefully make more than this
year. Hope to see you there next year.
